WAHA’s team in Loutra Volvis in Northern Greece continues the successful series of educational sessions addressing to the persons of concern. The medical team strongly believes in prevention and the refugees accommodated in specific site present a great interest in getting informed, as well.
So on 19th July, Dr George Mantios prepared a new presentation regarding “Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)”, a medical topic with great health interest especially for the young (male and female). This presentation has been held in several other camps of Northern Greece by him and has received very positive feed-back by the persons of concern. With his unique style and in a friendly manner he gave general information regarding STIs (the different types, their prevalence across EU, ways of transmission, their clinical presentation, the available laboratory work-up, treatment methods and ways of prevention).
Both speaker and attendants left satisfied after the session!
