WAHA offers health care to the most vulnerable populations and ensures that their medical needs are met.

Good health is complex and multi-dimensional, and cannot simply be defined as the absence of disease. Therefore, our projects aim to address the interrelated challenges people face to acquire and maintain healthy lives.

WAHA’S ACTION

WAHA’s health care interventions are comprehensive and include improving nutrition, sanitation, shelter, protection, and livelihood. These actions are adapted to the needs of the local population, are culturally sensitive and implemented in partnership with local organizations.

Latest programs:

The European Refugee crisis

As part of our response to the European Refugee crisis, we provide health and psychiatric care to the refugees stranded for several months in the camps. Furthermore, we are a UNHCR implementing partner in Greece and in Serbia.

The Mosul Crisis

In Mosul, Iraq, we are implementing in partnership with UNFPA, maternal and emergency obstetric healthcare through mobile, semi-fixed and fixed clinics. We also provide emergency healthcare in partnership with the World Health Organization.
