Kenya: WAHA provides maternal and pediatric care in Dadaab

Dadaab Hospital is the only structure offering obstetric care for the resident and refugee population.

WAHA's team has been providing consultations for children and newborns, carrying out deliveries and providing obstetric care when needed.

Dadaab Hospital is the only structure offering obstetric care for the resident and refugee population
WAHA's team has been providing consultations for children and newborns, carrying out deliveries and providing obstetric care when needed.
In the following months a gynecologist will join our team and we will deploy some motorcycle ambulances to increase acccess to health care.
This project was implemented in partnership with Médecins du Monde. Activities include the rehabilitation of health structures, provision of medicine and medical materials, training of health personnel and providing health care services.
Dadaab region currently hosts the largest refugee camp in the world with over 460,000 Somalii refugees.
