WAHA opens a new mission in Kastellorizo

In Greece, WAHA opened a new clinic in the island of Kastellorizo situated close to the turkish border. 250 inhabitants live there plus 200 soldiers but this little island can host 850 refugees sometimes. To face the urgent situation, we give medical consultations with a team composed by a nurse who speak arabic and 2 Greek doctors.


WAHA is now helping displaced people inside Syria

In February, WAHA launched its first activities in Northern Syria for displaced people stranded in the province of Aleppo, near the Turkish border.


WAHA extends its operations in Greece

From Lesbos to Thessaloniki, since September 2015, WAHA has been providing medical and emergency aid to fleeing people through Greece. Coming from Syria and also Iraq and Afghanistan mainly, refugees have come to Greece from Turkey, with the hope to travel further towards Western European countries where to stay and ask for a refugee status.
