Dr Sinan Khaddaj trained as a General Surgeon in Belgium and then worked for many years in Asia and Africa as a surgeon. Sinan's work has included designing and implementing surgery programs in conflict zones and following natural disasters around the world.
He has developed many innovative strategies and techniques for bringing surgical care to populations in need during emergencies.
Many of the programmes that Sinan conceived or contributed to have been highlighted in the international media. Sinan was Director of Fundraising and Communication at MSF, then set up WAHA International and took on the role of Secretary General.
