Senegal: Reducing maternal death and providing fistula repair for women in Kedougou region (Decembre 2010)
In the rural areas of Senegal, maternal mortality and neonatal mortality rates are particularly high. WAHA is working with regional health authorities in Kedougou to develop a programme that will reduce maternal deaths and injuries as well as providing surgical treatment for women with post-partum complications including obstetric fistula. The program is supported by the Fistula Foundation.
